Pigs don't stay clean! They get dirty with momstown's pig in the mud painting activity that lets little hands explore a new way to paint, while making a farm animal craft.

What you need:
- Construction paper - pink and another colour
- Scissors
- Brown paint
- Toy car
- Pink marker or crayon
- Gluestick
Cut out a pig shape from the pink construction paper. Glue onto a another piece of construction paper (any colour will do).
Have your little artist draw a pig's face, nose and mouth - and whatever other details they'd like!
Then, squeeze some brown tempra paint onto a paper plate or other hard surface. Roll the toy car in the paint, then roll the car onto the pig!
You've made your pig all muddy! Oink!
Tire track painting is lots of fun. Kids can try different cars, wheel sizes, and shapes to see what patterns emerge!

Sun, 05/27/2012 - 07:38 Hi! I came across your post by the Weekly Kid's Co-Op. I love your muddy pig craft! We used to do "car painting" in my classroom when I taught preschool. The little ones LOVED it but, now that I work at a library, I haven't thought about it in years. Lol. I would love for you to share this idea on my Farm ABC'S Blog Hop. I have storytime blog where I share Activities, Books, Crafts, and Snacks (ABC'S) on different topics such as farms, bugs, etc. I think your muddy pig craft would be a perfect addition to the Farm ABC'S Blog Hop! Don't you? I hope you will swing by, take a look around, and link up. :o) You'll find my blog here: librarystorytimeabcs.blogspot.com I hope you having an enjoyable holiday weekend! Take care! K
