momstown's alphabet crafts are inspiring our Alphabet Play programs all over the country! We took a key and did some rubbing to make k is for key in the craft room today.

k is for key

What you need:

  • a key
  • crayons or pencil crayons of different colours
  • white paper

k is for keyPlace a key underneath white paper and colour on top so that the outline of the key is revealed on the paper. Kids love the 'magic' of this activity and seeing the imprint show through.

If you use different colours you can make a rainbow k like we did!

For younger children, trace a lower case 'k' onto the paper first so they can follow the lines as they colour the keys.

momstown's got more alphabet crafts in the letter 'k':
