momstown is decorating for Easter! We've got some great Easter decorations to share - including this homemade Easter tree that's great for a mantel or sidetable decoration.

What you need:

  • Egg shells (halves)
  • Branches
  • Vase
  • Easter grass (optional)
  • Paint (paintbrush 'markers' work well with young kids)
  • Ribbon

Easter egg tree finalMake some scrambled eggs for breakfast or dinner and save the (carefully) cracked in half shells for this activity!

Have kids paint the eggshells (the paintbrush markers are easiest to use) and let them dry.

Tie lengths of ribbon and glue gun onto the top of each eggshell.

Easter egg tree finalPlace branches in a vase, and hang eggs from the branches. You've got a beautiful Easter tree!

** Warning - the shells are super breakable. Our toddler totally squashed them just gently holding them. We also lost a few (hence the sort of bare tree) so be careful!
