momstown's got a great fine motor activity for kids of all ages - make a snowman with mini marshmallows.
What you need:
- Construction paper
- White glue
- Mini marshmallows
- Beads or sequins to decorate
Outline a snowman shape with glue. Older kids can try this on their own (you can help by tracing with pencil underneath).
Use mini marshmallows and place along the glue - great fine motor practice (beware the escaping marshmallows - yum yum!)
Add nose, mouth, arms, and any accessories with glued-on beads, sequins, or any craft decorations you have handy. We also painted snowflakes and snow with white paint and Q-tips to add to the snowy landscape!
