Have 'retired' toy cars and trucks cluttering up your house? Pull them out and use them for this simple and fun painting activity. It's a great playgroup craft idea to pull car loving kids to the craft table and it was a hit at a momstown Burlington transportation themed event.

What you need:

  • Small cars and trucks
  • Shallow dish or paper plate
  • Paper towels
  • Paint
  • Construction paper

 

Fold a paper towel into quarters and lay it in the bottom of the shallow dish. Pour paint into the centre of the paper towel to make it into a stamp pad.

Dip the wheels of the car or truck into the paint. Roll it around on the paper towel to wipe off excess paint, then roll the vehicle onto the paper to make a unique print!

 

Use different sizes of wheels and different types of treads, so children can see the different prints they make!
