Make a little garden of flowers to enjoy inside or out!
What you will need:
- Construction paper
- Glue or tape
Fold a piece of green construction paper in half lengthways, and the make cuts from the fold side to the top, leaving about half an inch uncut so the paper stays together. This is good scissor practice for preschoolers. Help them by drawing a line where they should cut. It helps their fine motor control.
Wrap into a circle and secure at the bottom with a staple. Push down on the 'grass' to give it some dimension. Now you're ready to add some flowers, butterflies, bugs... whatever you like!
We used colourful paper to cutout flowers, butterflies, and hearts, and applied them with glue onto the grass stems. You could also use foamie stickers of spring bugs instead of cutouts.
