A recent playdate with three 6 year olds boys... in which both of mini-sticks were played and flower pictures were made? Yes! It can happen!
- Coffee filters (the boys cut them a bit smaller - apparently cupcake liners would be the right size but we didn't have any!)
- Yellow, green, and blue construction paper
- Scissors and gluesticks
- Yellow marker or highlighter
Depending on the age of the child, you can either help them cut, or trace for them to cut out a green stem and green leaves. Glue them in place. Then, use a yellow highlighter or marker to colour the coffee filter and glue it on, then glue on the flower petals.
As an added touch you can curl out the ends of the petals to give it a three-dimensional effect! According to the boys, these are dandelions... one of the nicest flowers (if you're a kid!) momstown has lots of flower crafts to enjoy this spring!
