It's officially spring!! Well, the calendar says so anyways. But it's time to start thinking about the spring clean up and what a better Earth Day lesson than to grab your kids and a bag and do a tour of the neighbourhood for litter?

momstown Guelph took their Chipmunk playgroup (2-3years) out for an Earth Day (2010) neighborhood clean up. The little ones donned plastic gloves and we took a walk to the park and picked up litter on the way. They were all so enthusiastic about cleaning up and would chase each other from piece of littler to piece of litter. Hopefully they will maintain this attitude throughout their lives and our neighborhoods will remain cleaner in the future!

Earth Day 2011 is April 22nd and we hope you involve your family in a neighbourhood clean up like this and take the chance to teach your kids about the benefits of keeping our Earth clean.
